Our TSB (Thursday Support Buddies) volunteers visited an elderly auntie living alone in a heavily deteriorated flat at Blk 5 Banda Street. At over 80 years old and with mobility limited by a wheelchair, she has long relied on her kind neighbour for help with daily needs.
Her home conditions were heartbreaking — peeling paint, wall cracks, a broken tap, and a hole in the ceiling that had been left unrepaired for years. On top of that, her bed frame and mattress were in poor condition, compromising both her comfort and safety.
🙏 We put out a call for help and angels responded.
Thanks to Mr M, who kindly sponsored:
- A new queen-sized mattress
- Manpower and materials for ceiling repairs
- Plumbing work to fix her tap
- Full repainting of the affected areas
Our volunteers worked together to patch the ceiling, clean and repaint the walls, restore the plumbing, and improve the general living condition of the home. With some time, care, and teamwork, we’ve given Auntie a much safer and more dignified space to call home.
💖 This is the power of community.
