❤️ TSB Charity Association – Together, Share & Bless ❤️

It Started With a Simple Thought:

“What more can we do?”

Before TSB Charity was officially formed, our Board Members were already volunteering and supporting different charitable organisations whenever opportunities arose.

In 2022–2023, our Co-Founders, Mr Melvin Yeo and Mr Terry Kek, were actively helping Project Love Lunch with its monthly outreach at the rental blocks of Blk 461 Yishun.

Every month, they rallied friends to contribute, purchased groceries, packed them together and personally helped distribute them to more than 60 beneficiaries.

There was no big organisation behind them.

Just friends, volunteers and people who wanted to help.

But something important happened along the way.

Kindness Grew — And So Did Responsibility

As more friends started contributing, more funds were entrusted to the team.

This led to an important question:

“If people trust us with their donations, how can we give them greater transparency and accountability?”

At the same time, we noticed that there were many more people beyond one neighbourhood who needed support. For example;

Elderly residents living alone.

Low-income families struggling with everyday necessities.

Children requiring additional care.

Individuals with special needs.

We wanted to do more — but we also wanted to do it responsibly.

7 April 2023 — Hence TSB Charity was born

On 7 April 2023, TSB Charity Association Limited was officially formed.

Our Co-founders made a commitment together with their trusted team and internal accountant, Mr Lee Kai Long:

Every donation must be properly accounted for.

100% of funds raised for our charitable programmes must be fully used to support our beneficiaries and their needs.

Transparency and accountability became part of the foundation upon which TSB Charity was built on.

From 60 People to Around 500 Every Month

What started with supporting around 60 beneficiaries has grown significantly.

Today, our two Co-Founders are joined by six other Board Members who share the same belief and purpose.

Together with our volunteers, donors and community partners, TSB Charity now reaches approximately 500 beneficiaries every month.

Our regular outreach focuses on providing essential groceries, meals and meal support to elderly residents, low-income households and others who need assistance.

We also provide monthly support to the children at MINDSville@Napiri, including personal daily essentials and occasional treats that bring them moments of happiness.

Approximately S$5,000–S$6,000 every month is required to sustain these commitments.

Behind every number is a person.

A meal may seem ordinary to us, but to someone struggling financially, it can mean one less worry that day.

A bag of groceries can help a family stretch their household budget.

And a simple treat for a child can create a moment of happiness that stays with them.

The Trust That Keeps Us Going

Today, we are grateful to have corporate sponsors and individual donors who believe in our work and support TSB Charity on a monthly basis.

Their continued trust makes a significant difference.

With approximately 500 beneficiaries depending on our various programmes each month, our commitment is no longer a once-a-year event. It is an ongoing responsibility that requires us to raise and carefully manage approximately S$5,000–S$6,000 every month.

Having regular donors gives us greater stability and allows us to plan ahead, purchase the necessary groceries and meals, and continue our programmes with confidence.

To every corporate partner and individual donor who has chosen to support us regularly:

Thank you for trusting TSB Charity.

Your contribution is not simply helping us run an event.

You are helping us keep a promise to the beneficiaries that we return to, month after month.

Same time, as we reach more beneficiaries, our commitments continue to grow.

That is why we hope more individuals, companies and organisations will come forward — whether through monthly contributions, sponsorship of a particular outreach, donation of essential items, volunteering, or simply helping us spread the word.

Charity Is More Than Giving Money

One of the most important things we have learnt is:

You don’t need to be rich to help someone. Helping out can be done in various ways. And they are all valuable contributions.

Some people donate money.

Some donate groceries.

Some contribute their professional skills.

Some help us pack.

Some spend their weekends visiting beneficiaries.

And sometimes, simply spending time with an elderly person or a child can be just as meaningful.

Everyone has something they can share.

Why Are We Sharing Our Story With You?

Because the next generation can make a difference too.

We hope students will understand that helping the community does not have to begin with something huge.

It can begin with one small action.

One volunteer.

One packet of food.

One bag of groceries.

One hour of your time.

One person deciding:

“I want to help.”

That was how our journey began.

Our Next Chapter

TSB Charity hopes to continue strengthening our governance, accountability and transparency while working towards eventually achieving IPC status.

But our biggest goal is not a title.

Our goal is to reach more people who need help — more elderly residents living alone, more low-income families, more underprivileged children and more individuals with special needs.

And we cannot do it alone.

We Invite You to Be Part of Our Journey

To the students — volunteer with us and experience what giving means beyond the classroom.

To the teachers and schools — partner with us on meaningful community projects.

To the parents and individuals — volunteer, contribute or simply help us spread the message.

To the companies and organisations — work with us to create sustainable community programmes.

And to our donors — every contribution, big or small, helps us continue reaching the people who need it.

From 60 beneficiaries to around 500 every month, our journey shows what can happen when ordinary people come together for an extraordinary purpose.

Imagine how many more people we can reach if more of us come together.

Don’t just hear our story.

Come and be part of the next chapter.

Together, Share & Bless.
