Together, a better society for everyone

It all began during the COVID pandemic when the nightlife industry took a severe hit. In response to this, a collective named SG Entertainment Owners was formed. This group aimed to exchange insights on navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic, and how businesses can tap on government grants and support to strategise and sustain their businesses.

As the restrictions eased, it allowed us to transit into mixed restaurants and bistro ventures. To that end, the group have been a support pillar for businesses to adapt to and overcome market challenges during the pandemic. This started of from a two-person team, and has since grown to nearly 20 members and counting.

The support group specifically picked Thursday as the day to support businesses. An interesting day to choose, and here is why. Thursdays have been the lowest sales day of the week as observed by many of the business owners in the group. Hence, Thursdays became the day were members of the group will step in and support businesses experiencing slow days.

Presently, from supporting local businesses, the group has evolved into a force of good, supporting local charities and NGOs. One such organization is Project Love Lunch (PLL). For PLL, we have helped in the involvement of purchasing, packing, and distribution of groceries to beneficiaries in Yishun. As we continue to commit our support to beneficiaries regardless of Background, Race, Language, and Religion, we believe that the journey is far from over, and we will persist in offering assistance in every way possible.
